
It makes things challenging and the balance in the game is achieved by a lot of the units between armies being pretty ‘samey’. I like having a somewhat tiered system of armies. However the first two are what probably hasn’t completely sold me. It’s a very balanced game, easy to pick up (as it has a tight rule set) and it’s also quick to play (in comparison to whfb). I dabble in it but have always found it a bit too ‘sterile’. The game has definitely gained popularity at our club (and quite a few others in the south and east of London) and is the one most people play.

The second ed was launched around the same time as GW killed off the old world and so the game had an influx of players at this time, many who have stayed true to it.


The third edition has been given a release date of Oct this year.
